MK1 Austin MINI 1000

Recently imported from South Africa.

Prior to coming to the UK this mini was treated to a bare shell restoration.

Pictures of the car stripped are available and you can see that it is a solid example. 

Mechanically this mini Has been very well catered for.

We have had the cylinder head refurbished and fitted with hardened Valve seats so you can use modern unleaded fuels without the need for additives.
Whilst the head was off we noticed the engine has 020” oversize pistons so it has had a rebuild at some point in its life.
The carburettor has been rebuilt and had the correct needle set up installed for the UK climate.
Whilst the mini is in the workshop we are treating it to a full service/ inspection, a complete new exhaust system, inlet/ exhaust manifold has been refurbished.

A set of new stainless steel hub caps are also on the list.

Mileage states 22998 miles however I can not confirm this is original.

The hyrdolastic suspension has been serviced and the ride height set,  Drives very comfortably.

Interior wise its all there and in very good condition.

bodywork is very good! Rust free car, I have pictures of it stripped prior to coming to the UK

2003 LAND ROVER FREELANDER G4 KALAHARI EDITION

Land Rover Freelander G4 Edition.

This is a very rare Freelander that was what the Land Rover Marketing team used to determine what colour to enter the G4 Challenge in! they did a limited run Borrego Yellow and Tangiers Orange Freelanders. Based on the Kalahari trim they were produced in 2003 only and the first colour to sell out was the colour that would be chosen for the G4 challenge. so although only a small part that it plays in the grand scheme, the Bright orange colour we immediately think of when someone mentions G4, is all down to the little Freelander.


On top of the usual Freelander refinements the Kalahari trim adds of the following,

ABS/ Traction control
Air conditioning
17 inch Alloy wheels
Audio remote
CD Multichanger
Electric sunroof
Leather/ alcantara seat trim
Passenger`s airbag
Rear electric windows
Roof rails
Electric sunroof

The G4 Edition added the following

Borrego Yellow or Tangiers Orange Paint
A dintinctive black painted lower bumper trim which is normally colour coded to the body colour.
Rear cargo/ dog guard for both the rear window and the back seat.
people often then added dealer options to make the cars more Off-road biased/ looking

The one I have for sale here has the the following additional options,
rear cargo package,
Front and rear mudflaps,
Harmon/Kardon upgraded sound system and cd changer,
Electric folding mirrors.

This is a fantastic little example with only 2 previous owners and a very pampered history.

Supplied with a full service history banked with the receipts.

Recent work consists of upgrading the pesky head gasket that plagues the 1.8 as well as installing the upgraded 'grey' type PRT thermostat.

New cluctch and hydraulics

Timing belt and water pump replaced.

Its just had a full service carried out including the following,

Full engine service including the engine, air, fuel filters, spark plugs and oil.
Full transmission service, the first thing we do with any freelander is drain the transmission oils as it tells us exactly the condition of the running gear. This one had immaculate oil that we drained out. so we reassembled and filled with the correct manufacture specific oils.
The very important replacement of the viscous coupling has been carried out. We use Bell-engineering for all of our transmission parts, you can read up on their website about what they do. new bearings and U/J's were installed at the same time.

The usual corroded/ broken sunroof was apparent so a new sunroof assembly was bought and the mechanism refurbished. all working as it should.

The condition on this Freelander is fantastic. People have commented on its good condition before it went in the workshop! The drive is very nice and refined as it should be. The common weak hand brake is also not a problem! its been rectified in the workshop already and it very good!

1991 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 CSW V8

Land Rover Defender 110 County Station Wagon

Imported earlier this year from South Africa.

The befits from the South African Built defenders of this Era:

Galvanised Bulkhead and Chassis!! - Rust is no issue on these vehicles!
Air conditioning is often fitted as either a factory or dealer option - it is worth noting that on the earlier cars you will need to have the system converted to use R134A gas instead of R12.

Long Range Fuel tanks - Fleet vehicles and sometime privately bought defenders has the option of long range tanks, in the Uk this was also an option to have the 90 under seat tank fitted on a 110 but in S.A you could opt to have a further two fuel tanks - these are located either side of the rear main tank and made using thicker gauge steel to prevent damage from debris being flicked up and damaging the tanks.

This Defender has the Extra long range tank options - so a total of 4 fuel tanks, a very neat and rare option. and it also benefits from air conditioning.

All the numbers tally top so it is suitable for export to the states.

We have put this through the workshop already and its passed its MOT. NOW REGISTERED AND READY TO GO!!

Original 8.13:1 CR 3.5 V8 on Twin S.U Carburettors has just had a tune up. carbs removed, cleaned and set correctly. distributor has been rebuilt, new plugs and leads and breathers. the engine is running very smooth and sweet.

A very rare find when this car came in was that its original owners manual and service book was in the car! stamped by Land Rover to 1997. it was a highways fleet vehicle to start off with and has been looked after throughout its life.

Just had a £1500.00 service / MOT - had new suspension bushes, tune up, factory fog light fitted (not fitted in SA) and some work on the brakes.

Recently had a set of General Grabber Super All Grip tyres fitted!

Starts and drives extremely well and has that amazing added bonus of its Galvanised features that are normally the achilles heel of the defender!

1977 FIAT 124 SPORT SPIDER 1800

1977 built to be sold as a "78 model year" car in the USA


This is my own car I imported from California in 2017 and doesn't want for anything. This truly is a reluctant sale, due to ill health I am just looking at it in the garage and although it is an amazing piece of art I want it to go to a good home where it is going to be used!


Once this car was delivered I completely went through it with a fine toothed Combe to make it 100% reliable for a trip across Europe.

whilst in the workshop the following was carried out.

The gearbox jumped out of 4th gear so the gearbox was removed and send to Devon and Cornwall transmissions to be reconditioned, a new clutch and release bearing was also installed.
Timing belt and tensioners replaced and the old fibre timing gears replaced with CNC machined alloy wheels.
Fully serviced,
New steering relay
New ball joints and track rod ends
Carburettor rebuilt and de-emission controlled (US regulations strangle the engine) releases a significant amount of power from the before strangled engine.
upgraded 3 core radiator replaced the old one (had a small leak)
Upgraded brake pads and discs,
Upgraded bushes and new lower and stiffer coil springs with koni sport shock absorbers
Maserati bi-Turbo alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli tyres.
New roof,
The front seats have been re-trimmed and I also had the dashboard, door cards and centre console trimmed with a twin stitch that contrasts the seat colour.
Performance Anza exhaust and tubular manifold has been fitted as well as an upgraded ignition.
the sill covers came off to check for corrosion (not one spec or stain) the sills were wax oiled and cover reinstalled.

Not that it gets used but it has a Bluetooth stereo with phone integration and the speakers are located where the standard speaker would have been fitted in the centre console.

Full wax oil treatment, including removing the sill covers and door cards and treating inside the structure.

The list is endless and the best part of course is that the car is from California from and has ZERO corrosion! Any inspection welcome!

A full repaint in the same original green has been carried out. This was only because there were a lot of imperfections (chips, shopping trolley marks) in the original paint we agreed with the body shop that it would be best to do the whole car.

I also have the original service book/ owners manual that came over with the car from America. I have all the receipts for work that I have had done.

It runs and drives better than it would have done when it was new, doesn't burn oil between servicing, no leaks! You will not be disappointed with this!

Starts on the button and didn’t let us down on our Europe trip.

The previous owner was a Porsche mechanic in California who took very good care of the car.

1991 SAAB 9000 S TURBO

Here we have for sale is my own very rare slope front Saab 9000S 2.3 Turbo 5 door hatchback!

This Saab is in a condition fit for shows! Definitely an appreciating classic Saab ideal for an enthusiast.

This is the Biglamp model, so has the big headlamps but they are slightly sloped unlike the very early flatfront 9000. 1991 was the year Saab introduced the 2.3 litre engine and so this is one of the few biglamp models to come with the 2.3 litre engine of which standard came with 220BHP

So the car itself. 

Registered in 1991 and came with ,

Trip computer,pmtelling you, miles to end of fuel, fuel consumption, voltage, economy gauge, tells you if any levels are low/ faults, doors open etc.

Plus more! A very high spec car for today's standard, let alone in 1991!

its been in and out of the same family a few times, I bought it off of a friend of the original owner who was selling it for him earlier in this year. 

In 2009 the Saab was out into dry storage and left until January this year when it was dusted off and put in for an MOT, other than some brake pipes and 2 tyres it flew through!

No welding had been carried out on this car prior to my ownership, this must be due to the fact it's been wax oiled regularly throughout itself as well as being a well built Swedish machine (wish my Range Rover was as reluctant to rust). 

I noticed the rear lower quarter panels were bubbling and took the paint back to see it needed a repair unlike many I believe keeping a car as original as possible is a priority and instead of taking some filler to it I sourced some repair panels over from America and had them installed and the lower quarters painted. You wouldn't notice it had been done and I have photos to show what was done.

So the bodywork is 100% you must see it to believe it. Yes the odd mark is here and there but no more than I have seen on a 3 year old car let alone a 26 year old car.

The history is outstanding on this Saab, 

A full history is present, all books and receipts

All previous MOT certificates are present.

Here are a few key items that have been replaced over the recent years ( most of which were carried out under an extended Saab warranty plan) and all have been done by a Saab dealer.

Head gasket replaced @ 105,051 miles
Balancer shaft, chain and sprockets replaced head gasket also done @ 108,441 miles
Brand new gearbox and a upgraded clutch @ 111,072
Water pump and pump pipe to turbo @114,972

More recently by ourselves

new DI pack 
New mass air flow sensor
New coolant temp sensor
New cooling fan switch, full cooling system flush and a new thermostat, full service, oils, fuel, spark plugs etc

I have also fitted Bilstein B6 shock absorbers with Eibach 30mm lowering springs along with the very desirable super aero alloy wheels with Goodrich tyres. (I have all of the original parts that can go with the car)

Also an upgraded exhaust has been fitted for better flow.

I have had the headlining recovered as well as the gear knob re-trimmed and as I said previously, had the rear quarter panels restored

The previous owner had Abbott racing remap the Ecu to 260 horse power and had later aero suspension fitted.

The car is ridiculously quick! 260hp doesn't seem like a huge amount but it's certainly a lively car! And handles superbly. He have been some very tasteful modifications that you would never tell have been carried out.

Is really is a collectible Saab and must be seen to be appreciated.

The previous owner has also written down all the work carried out over the years in the back of the owners handbook.

Externally the bodywork is fantastic for a car of this age. It has one small shopping trolley dent in the N/S/R quarter panel, and the odd stone chip here and there as expected.

1975 911 TARGA

1975 Porsche 911S Targa Top Registered and ready to go! Imported from the sunny state of California the condition of the car is outstanding, I have not seen a 911 with bodywork as original as this in a very long time. This has not been subject to any restoration work and has to be seen to be believed, it really is a time warp. A light recommissioning mechanically has been carried out recently to the new owners benefit and future reliability of the car. Body: The bodywork shows its been a Californian car, and its a credit to its previous owner as the paint has been kept very well, it has outstanding paint for the year of the car and shows no signs of sun bleaching or lacquer peel. No dents apparent however I must stress this is a classic car, age related marks may be apparent. Viewings are strongly recommended. Underneath the factory rust proofing is still there and no underbody sealant or such has been applied. Interior: Very good condition for its age, the odd imperfection when you pay close attention. Again viewing is recommended Seats still have that Porsche sporty yet comfortable feel and are not sinking etc Carpets are very good, no stains or damage apparent. Engine/ Gearbox: The engine in this 911 performs superb, starts on the button and has that unique Porsche tone that will put a smile on your face the instant it fires up. The car came over from the states with a 3.0SC engine fitted instead of the 2.7. After our inspection we found the engine required work so the car was sent to a local Porsche specialist of which removed the engine, stripped it down and rebuilt it replacing anything that raised concern this cost in excess of £6000! At this time the fuel hoses were also replaced as well as many other items that may have been perished/ worn. Gear changes are smooth and precise, the linkage UJ bushes have been upgraded to Polyurethane performance items. Brakes: Typical 911 braking and its accurate and remains straight under heavy braking, the hand brake is also very efficient. Drive: The weather we are experiencing at there moment, is there car to match better? Sun out, roof off, windows down.... the soundtrack from the flat 6 is just a start. I have to remind myself this is a 1970's car every time I look at it let alone drive it. It is true German engineering, its tight, precise and has that front end feel that Porsche have spent the last 4 decades trying to eliminate, why I have no idea as it reminds you its what a 911 is all about, its a pure pedigree 911.
